Quick Gaming Update

So, before I post another one of my "weird creepy" posts where I include stuff from my odd sense of humour--I figured I'd give another post for a bit of spacing

Mostly because I'm well aware that when I say crazy things, people tend to believe that I believe them 100% percent percent. I've literally tested things by saying the most insane nonsense possible, and people hear it and be all, "finally knowing what Katrina actually is thinking"

Which is unfortunate because I find that ridiculous stuff absolutely hilarious

I'm also not happy with my last post--so it doesn't work as decent as a buffer as a side effect

So... let's go over what I am doing with gaming

Animal Crossing

So, I've started doing stuff with Animal Crossing New Leaf on my n2DSXL. Er... the one that is actually repaired. I have a n2DSXL with two broken screens, a broken case and a depopulated ZL button. The case-less n2DSXL is not going to be doing much of any gaming until I fix it. I mean--it is entirely possible to do gaming with it... but no, I'm using the one I've "repaired" so that it is now only having depopulated the R Button, Volume Control and Headphone Jack from the board

My issue here is that I have a bit of a Type-A personality. So my initial notion is to try to master all of the Animal Crossing in less than a week. This is not how one plays Animal Crossing. The should not be one's goal when playing anything that is meant to be a chilled out relaxing game

So the goal with Animal Crossing is to build up my pain tolerance to every hair on my back standing on end at how I am not doing enough, and need to be doing more. To learn how to tolerate the feeling that makes me want to grate my teeth that it is generally not feasible to have your town by completely set up and perfect in less than a month. To still myself to the intense feelings of failure that I've not gotten a completely upgrade mansion for the mayor by the fourth day of playing the game

Clearly, my issues with not understanding how to relax, is I am too weak to the intense irritation at not getting enough stuff done, I feel. That I need to allow myself to be able to handle this intense stress of how I am a failure for being unable to accomplish unreasonably lofty and irrationally over the top goals in a very short time frame

You know--like those videos where guys are paying tens of thousands of dollars to have another guy torture them (when the more smart money decision would be to acquire the services of a dominatrix). Except instead of all that dumb frat boy hazing nonsense... it is me doing something that requires me to slow down a bit, and doesn't allow me to accomplish everything (though, if it did, I would then get upset at myself for not doing everything all at one... as one does)

This is going to help me deal with stuff IRL where I need to "pace myself" and slowly work on rebuilding my head and body back up fully. Which, turns out, not pacing myself when doing that only makes stuff worse

I SHALL MASTER THIS QUITE INTENSE PAIN CAUSED FROM HAVING TO SLOW DOWN TO SOMETHING APPROACHING A MORE REASONABLE AND RATIONAL PACE!

I can still view myself as useless and a failure for having not mastered everything as a treat after I successfully gain this practical skill

Picross

So... I've been playing the Picross games on the Switch. The idea is mostly to play them as far as I can reasonably handle based upon my current skill level

Which turns out is "solving all the puzzles with no hints--except a small handful of Megapicross puzzles and the Extra Puzzles". I've gotten six of the games at this state... working on a seventh game. With me intending to tackle the ones that also work as nonograms but do not have the license to call themselves "Picross"

My goal here is mostly to get to a point where I've gotten through most of the Picross games so that I don't have any to play until the next one is released. With me only able to work on doing stuff with other puzzle games, and also improving my times in Picross

This has confirmed a thing I suspected about "skill increase after fifty hours put towards skill" that I noticed with one of my Rhythm Games

Other Puzzle Games

Yeah... so I'm also playing Tetris 99, "Those Games" and various Puyo Puyo entries. Gotta get my brain to be not as stupid

I am well aware that I am more astute than most people. However, most people are pretty freaking stupid, so that isn't a goal I consider worth my time. I need to be clever to the point where I am actually clever... not merely more clever than a bunch of morons

And yes... I'm also reading a bunch of books and going through course ware for various topics. You know, the other side of things

I'm also planning on having the Supaplex games be what I do stuff with after I've gotten through all of the Picross on the Switch

I'm also occasionally jumping into various Warioware entries as well

It should be noted that I will also be adding various Puzzle Bobble games into this mix--including Touhou Spell Bubble. Though, that is going to be a bit later on down the line of things

Rhythm Games

So, to help deal with my brain's tendency to just be stupid about releasing Adrenaline and A-Adrenaline... I've been playing Rhythm Games. So that I can cope better with it when reality starts to suddenly go in slow motion--or really fast--out of no where

Right now I'm mostly playing Project Mirai on the 3DS, several of the Taiko No Tastujin on the Switch, Groove Coaster Wai Wai Party (also on Switch) and Theatrhythm Final Bar Line (you guessed it, on the Switch)

Sometimes I will pull out Rhythm Thief on the 3DS... but not often

Fitness Games

So, my dietary stuff is kind of crap right now. Making it so that playing Fitness games isn't a real option. Even without taking my constant migraines into account (which just make me even more of a failure, I cannot even do properly lighted rooms--AAAG!)

I have no idea why people do the dumb crap of trying to run on as little calories as possible. Like... that is some smooth brained stuff right there. "But I get hit up by numbers"--LIAR! If it was about getting the numbers to line up correctly, your goal would be to have your stuff at 2,3kCal with the best stuff possible in said 2,3kCal. You would know you have to make _atleast_ 2,0kCal... and not making that minimum amount would be a form of failure for that day

It is about hitting that number--and hitting it with the most high quality crap possible. How do people get this twisted?

No... you are _not_ going to function on 700Cal/day. Are you fscking stupid? Well, prolly... but still. There is a minimum ballast required to not sink the gog darn boat

You need that ballast there--and you want it to be the best gog darn ballast you could have. Have your ballast be fancier and more extra than all the other biotches

That being said... eating is hard. Like... people act like this is a thing people can just do without thinking. Eating honestly is tougher than most of the exercises I want to be able to be awesome at doing. I can see myself much easier licking my own genitals, than being able to eat at a regular amount at reasonable intervals and stuff. It just needs to be something I need to force onto myself

That being said, because the reason I tend to starve myself isn't because I want to be pretty--it is not an eating disorder

I mean, the main reason I do it, is because I am a bad person and a failure, and I need to punish myself--as I've not done enough. When you deny yourself meals for that reason, not only is it not an eating disorder--it apparently is a very healthy mental attitude, that brings forth very healthy thoughts

I wish I was joking when I say that--but I've had a few doctors inform me that this is 100% the truth and the most correct medical take a person can ever have about why not allowing yourself to eat is actually a good thing

Who am I to argue with the doctors?

Well... other than me--a terrible person who is instead opting to try to force themselves with being okay with eating ~2,3kCal of food a day so I have the energy to build up my stamina, endurance and flexibility

No idea why people do fitness for looking a certain way. I want to increase the amount of girls I can fireman carry over my shoulder. Impress a chubby girl by doing this for her. Also twinks and femboys as well... they can also get fireman carried. Fireman carry a chubby girl on one shoulder, and a femboy on the other, while also being flexible enough to lick my own groin on top the kitchen counter--a proper set of fitness goals right there. None of this "I want to look a certain way on the outside crap" >.>'

Right now, I need to get my dietary crap together--then I can have fitness games be part of my routine to get to my desired goals that are more correct

RPG Backlog

Oh right--a very specific part of my backlog. Enough that I should mention it specifically

So... now that my migraines aren't as rampant. I'm going to get back to working on getting through:

  • Final Fantasy V
  • Eastward
  • Digimon Cyber Sleuth Complete Edition
  • Dragon Quest 1, 2 and 3
  • Mega Man Battle Network Collection
  • Pokemon Yellow
  • SMT: Soul Hackers

I might work on some of the other Final Fantasy games to be gotten through after getting trough Final Fantasy V... not certain

I'm also going to look into finding a walk through for KOTOR2

Oh right, since KOTOR and its sequel are games that you are meant to play through multiple times to check out the different weird nonsense at various bits (with certain stuff being luck based on certain play throughs). The idea is I'd start with KOTOR2 (as it turns out, it is better one to start with)... and play through the most simple style of getting through that game

Turns out a lot of the subsystems in the games don't actually do anything, or aren't particularly useful to put dots into. So the idea is to go through the guide to do the simplest brain dead play through

Then after that, do other weirder esoteric playthroughs that I do questionable choices and decisions. I'd want to at least have a play through for each character class, each gender and each force alignment--which kind of results in 18 different play throughs for that

The idea is to stagger the KOTOR2 and KOTOR1 play throughs with other games. So do a play though of a Battle Network game, Pokemon game and another JRPG between doing another KOTOR playthrough. To avoid getting too sick of stuff

Oh right... why is Pokemon Yellow on that list?

Well, I kind of popped in to play it as a bit of a Whim. Decided to have my goal to be "just play through the game, and get Mewtwo". No need to have a Meta-ready tournament team in the save data, no need to max crap out. Fill out the Pokedex in a meaningful amount (but don't worry about it)

Turns out, that was oddly therapeutic

So, the goal is now: Play Pokemon Yellow, and the play through all the other Gen 1 games. Which includes Pokemon Snap and the two Card Game spinoffs. With me also tracking down various game mods that are based upon Gen 1 gamecode--and play through those. Making certain to get post game content as well (where applicable)

Once I've gotten that down... the notion would be to move onto Gen 2. Playing Gold, Silver and Crystal... but also playing the various Pokemon Puzzle League games. As well as Pokemon Pinball. Then going through and playing the mods. Yes, post game is a part of stuff

The Stadium Games are not on the list for things to care about

Gen 3 is when stuff starts to get ridiculous... as there is a bit more interesting post game stuff in the main line games. The first Mystery Dungeon duology shows up here. Plenty of other side game material to play through. And oh crap all of the mods for the games. I expect this to be an era I get stuck on for the longest amount of time

As I'm working through this, I will be going through various Smogon stuff, and studying the crap out of that stuff in various ways. With my writing out the Smogondex by hand, onto loose leaf paper and putting it into binders for this stuff (on top of noteworthy forum posts). There is a good chance I might have fully copied all of Smogon before I'm done through the Gen 3 stuff. Which will be the thing to determine/check

Oh right, Colosseum, XD and PBR should be fine to mess with

But yeah... the whole thing with KOTOR and Pokemon will be projects I slowly work towards/on

Pinball

Still playing the crap out of Pinball FX(2023) on my Switch. Sometimes pull in Pinball M on the switch as well. Bunch of stuff to unlock with those... but then I have a bunch of stuff to unlock/accomplish with Pinball FX3 and Star Wars Pinball as well. Which are on the back burner

I also have the Zaccaria stuff I keep meaning to return to... and likely eventually will

Smoots Pinball my main goal is to just fill up the high score charts with my name. Maybe unlock the unlockables. Even if they are kind of pathetic. It isn't a bad pinball game... it just isn't a really good one either. It is an entirely servicable pinball game

I also have Zombie Rollers, The Pinball Arcade, Peach Ball and Demon Tilt to go through and do stuff with as well

Peach Ball... uh... has some questionable elements to it. I just have to remind myself that the amount of ninja training they've talked about doing, does not allow them to be teenagers. Even if they started at the age of two... they've given off hand back story that would suggest early twenties. They are just dressed like that... for uh... ninjitsu reasons

Other backlog

Oh man... no idea how I intend to reasonable do this. I'm mostly just going to be popping in games for the happy brain chemicals--and not caring how much I am failing at getting anywhere in them

3D World Navigation Game

So uh... this is a bit of a weird one to explain. So they've found that spending ~12hours a week in a "familiar" 3d game with fully movement on all three axis will help sort out trauma, and help with learning things. As a bit of a buff. It ca be stuff like GTA, Halo or all kinds of other stuff

I'm a bit in between what game I'm currently doing this stuff with. Mostly taking a break from the recent game I was doing this stuff with... and haven't quite figured my way forward for this one for now

So, I've forgotten a lot of things here--and will likely remember them after I hit publish. But hey... bit of a dumb update for nobody to care about
