A Wonderous Description of a BS Setting

So, it seems that people are underselling a lot of stuff that happens in their life. That the whole "be grateful for what you have" kind of doesn't work, as everybody feels like they don't really have anything. This mindset has also moved into Science Fiction and Fantasy writing So, this creative writing exercise is mostly to try to get that sense of wonder back for people A Short About a BS Setting    In most people's hands they hold a wretched accursed device. They say this device did not need to be used for insidious means, it was Dark Masters of Ruinous Numerology that commission the devices that turned it--the device itself is not to blame they claim The housing of the device was crafted by harvesting the Ichor from the corpse of a fallen giant. A giant slime that spanned the entire world, that has long since passed away, and was buried. The remnants of the ancient slime titan was generally viewed  as a hazard that interfered with village farmers working the...

Wait a Second... Have I Been Fighting A One Person War Against the CIA for a Decade?

Sometimes, my brain mashes facts together in a way that has me forming questions. Or constructing weird chimeras of concepts. Most logic operates on an "If A and If B then perhaps C?". My logic is "Train A is leaving Chicago, but the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow in noneuclidean space streams past a trolley--why are you not turning the tortoise in the desert over?"... which... is not particularly constructive for explaining things After I get my conclusions I can then go back, figure out how I am off, and adjust things. Or if it turns out I am somewhat accurate (well... not completely inaccurate), I can then figure out something that emulates how most people believe logic looks like, in order to have people less inclined to dismiss it Think like if the Three Stooges found the "this is my hole, it was made for me"... except they are all convinced that their hole is the same hole. So they are all trying to get into that hole from that infamous hor...

The Effects of Secretly Being Arthur, King of the Britians

I've been seeing a bit of behaviour, that I've been having some issues vocalising effectively. I've hit at parts of it. Such as the times I've mentioned people operating on a White Hat/Black Hat SatAM approach to morality . However, that is an incomplete explanation of how people approach morality and ethics and the act of not being a total douche bag (or striving to total douche baggery for some) I've realised a core element to the behaviour can be explained very easily "Fools! Do they not know that I am secretly Arthur, King of the Britons. I have been that the WHOLE time. Once I am recognised, Camelot can be restored--and the forces of good can be reinstated to control the realm once more!" -- Core element to the average persons approach to the pursuit of justice  A good chunk of the population understands that, they themself, has secretly been Arthur, King of the Britons , this whole time. Which, until the word recognises this, Camelot is incapabl...

The Generative Media Grift is Fractally Stupid

There are plenty of dumb silly crap with the whole Generative Media grift currently being done by TechBros. I'm writing it down, as honestly--I have an idea as to why people seem too stupid to come up with it Even beyond the people going, "you can just download it into your phone for convenience". No, you are NOT downloading it into your phone. Just like taking the "Internet Explorer" icon on your Win95 machine, and moving it to a floppy disk in your desktop does NOT "download the internet to a floppy". You do not have these models on your phone. You have access to these models on your phone, provided several requirements are put into place  These are smaller bits of stuff, that are stitched together  The Boomer Immortality Angle "This is exhausting. Just let it end. So very very tired. Allow another to continue, so you can rest" -- The Awakened Light of Tomorrow, Continuing On Forever   Okay so, apparently Boomers and Gen X are viewing it a...

Dream Journal: StarGate SG1: The Atom and The Ritual

So, I had a dream, that upon waking up, I felt the desire to post about it on the internet. Like I was obligated to share it with the world I had this dream earlier this month (Decembre) and tried to wait for this sensation to go away. As often it will. Wait for a blog post that was not terrible--but the memory of this dream ate the other blog post ideas. So, here you guys go--hopefully this leaves my brain, and I can write about actually interesting not lame crap Dream Preample  One of the key bits of my dreams, that do not seem to reflect in what I've heard others talk about, is the "ambient environmental knowledge" Think of it like how you know what cupboard the Golden Grams are located within. Think of how you know what to expect at the local convenience store. There are all kinds of stuff in your brain that exists as "environmental ambient knowledge" (there is likely a less wrong word) that you make use with when making decisions  In this dream's world...

Been playing Battle Network and StarForce (Mega Man)

So, I've been kind of wanting to get it so I'm not terrible at the Battle Network games. As I think the whole concept is kind of neato. Kind of want to ironically build the Battle Network Torment Nexus ironically. Though--I'm not certain how many others would view such a Torment Nexus as purely existing for ironic purposes To get around how terrible I am at games in these two series, I've moved to playing the StarForce games. As the battle system in those is a slight bit easier. Play the crap out of the StarForce games so that I'm approaching something I could call competent. The move back to playing the crap out of the Battle Network games The existence of the DX patch for the first Starforce installment, and the semi-DX patch for both of the second installment. Which the second installment does look like there are three slightly different plots. The third installment doesn't really have any DX patches for either of the games in that portion of the series. Cur...

Frustrations With Labubu: The Labubode Problems

Okay, so at this point Labubus are mostly an ironic thing as far as I can tell. Actually, I tend to be a terrible judge as to whether my tendencies towards irony are able to be properly telegraphed. Ironic or not, Labubus are kind of frustrating  Like, for one, the plural of Labubus is weird. Labubode? Labuben? Labubor? Dwarrow? For the purpose of this article I will be pluralising Labubu as "Labubode"--due to my own penchance towards interests in cephalopod  Lack of Creative Usage  "Clouds! They are planning something. I know it! Look at them up there--they are totally scheming, thinking we don't know. WELL I KNOW! I KNOW YOU ARE UP TO SOMETHING UP THERE! CLOUDS!" -- Frigyth The Grumpy, Musings Before Ketchup    So, I'm a creative person. I'm not going to be interested in opening up a box, and be done with that. I want to be able to know I can do some crafting stuff. Make a sweater or clothes for the thing in the box. Paint unique colour schemes for ...
