Works Quoted From
So, while doing stuff back on Medium before encrapification took that website over, I noticed that a lot of Professional Looking blogs would often include inspirational quotes at the tops of various sections. It certainly added to how impressive and legit the material would seem to be
Which was great when I wasn't that overly familiar with who they were quoting or where the quote came from. Then a couple quotes from places I knew about showed up... and well... those quotes actually made the section seem less valid--as the quote contradicted the material in the section
Realising that the quotes adding more validity was entirely An Aesthetic Thing(TM)(C)(R) and not actually a rational process... I went over to various Random Name Generators, to create fictional characters to have quotes from at the top of various sections. Essentially accomplishing the same goals as blogs who quote real people to seem more legit--but with a level of honesty that is generally not welcome in polite society. Remember kids: being polite is lying profusely and constantly to everybody around you. If you don't constantly lie about stuff, you are being very rude
It also gives a bit of a fun narrative element to people who read more than one of my blog posts. To further punish them for their clear deviation from social decency (YOU MONSTER!). I mean... to give them further rewarding material... yeah... that is the correct translation of this effect for copy...
Now, it has generally been annoying to go to past posts to reuse various characters. With me not having reasonable access to the ones I made for the Medium Blog posts--as the Business Rot(TM)(C)(R) has made me really really not want to bother looking at that site. I've made the choice to have a new Rogues Gallery of Dubious Quotes
To make it less annoying for _myself_ I have this Page on the blog so I can easier keep track of these various characters. To add and remove them. This top summary is for people who clicked this page and went "ooh! What does _THIS_ button do"
Though, the trolls that want to belief all kinds of weird things about me, will not be deterred by this explanation--as they are wont to ignoring things that disagree with them. Which is understandable--I suppose. What isn't understandable is trolls tendency to _ALSO_ ignore details that agree and support their stance. That is the behaviour that has me thinking they are really really dumb, and has me more okay with flaunting my deviances--as the h8ers are not actually going to pay attention to them either for their dumb nonsense. You'd think they would, as that is what would seem reasonable--but nah. The stuff they use as "proof" is randomly sourced usually
