 So, it seems that people are underselling a lot of stuff that happens in their life. That the whole "be grateful for what you have" kind of doesn't work, as everybody feels like they don't really have anything. This mindset has also moved into Science Fiction and Fantasy writing So, this creative writing exercise is mostly to try to get that sense of wonder back for people A Short About a BS Setting    In most people's hands they hold a wretched accursed device. Sometimes, my brain mashes facts together in a way that has me forming questions. Or constructing weird chimeras of concepts. Most logic operates on an "If A and If B then perhaps C?". My logic is "Train A is leaving Chicago, but the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow in noneuclidean space streams past a trolley--why are you not turning the tortoise in the desert over?"... which... is not particularly constructive for explaining things After I get my conclusions I can then go back, figure out how I am off, and adjust things. Or if it turns out I am somewhat accurate (well... not completely inaccurate), I can then figure out something that emulates how most people believe logic looks like, in order to have people less inclined to dismiss it Think like if the Three Stooges found the "this is my hole, it was made for me"... except they are all convinced that their hole is the same hole.
