Quick Gaming Update

So, before I post another one of my "weird creepy" posts where I include stuff from my odd sense of humour--I figured I'd give another post for a bit of spacing Mostly because I'm well aware that when I say crazy things, people tend to believe that I believe them 100% percent percent. I've literally tested things by saying the most insane nonsense possible, and people hear it and be all, "finally knowing what Katrina actually is thinking" Which is unfortunate because I find that ridiculous stuff absolutely hilarious I'm also not happy with my last post--so it doesn't work as decent as a buffer as a side effect  So... let's go over what I am doing with gaming Animal Crossing So, I've started doing stuff with Animal Crossing New Leaf on my n2DSXL. Er... the one that is actually repaired. I have a n2DSXL with two broken screens, a broken case and a depopulated ZL button. The case-less n2DSXL is not going to be doing much of any gaming until...

The Evident Cognitive Decline of the Self Professed Logical Thinker

"Axiom One: all men are mortal. Axiom Two: Socrates was a man. Ergo all men are Socrates" -- Anonymous So, I've noticed an odd increase in the issues with the sorts of people on the net who claim to be the voice of reason. Claim to be the sorts who bring about slow rational thought to tense discussions. The ones whom the only way to disagree with them is to be a frothing at the mouth lunatic Which is odd, as they seemed kind of silly to start off with. So the fact that they have somehow managed to become... well... more zombie hard like is just weird. As I did not think they'd be compatible with that sort of appearance The Usage of Intelligence as an Aesthetic  "People are more inclined to believe quotes attributed to Anonymous" -- Anonymous  A common issue that has gone on for a while, is the notion that intelligence is something that can be worn. Like a hair style--or a way to paint up your face, or a three piece jacket. That one can easily determine who ...

A Brief Note Regarding Language Usage

"What? No! Why?" -- common chant So some people might notice that I have a tendency to write phrases like "to be unfair" or "in all unfairness" or "in my offense" and various other modifications of common turns of phrases, where I state it in the opposite way This is mostly because the same meaning and sentiments are about to be brought across if I did not reverse it. With my reversed turn of phrase being more accurate to what is actually being suggested, as well on top of that. It is more a quirk that in order to correct, one has to reassess the various notions and idioms of language that get deployed from day to day interactions It is most certainly not because I am some kind of mirror demon who has hijacked a human body to corrupt the world on this side of the looking glass. With my tendencies to mix up left and right in high stress situations and inclination for reversals of common idioms being attributed to such a notion. This is silly, sto...

Escaping the Walled Garden Internet With Wyrd Pages

"Sometimes the correct answer is exactly what we should not ever do" -- The Awakened Light of Tomorrow, Songs of Screaming 3    So, we've all noticed that the modern day internet is different from how it was in the 90s and 00s. This isn't necessarily better or worse. Some ways is better, some ways is not However, today's Internet is certainly quite a bit more generic than before. It feels more empty, despite it having so many more people on it Part of that is: we no longer have really really weird websites cropping up The jokes around REAL ULTIMATE POWER, JeffK, Bonsai Kitten and other dumb nonsense pages mostly only made sense in an environment where there were legitimate pages of people who were kind of a bit weird about stuff they enjoyed Today, the Wonderbread Guy roams around Deviant Art asking for commissions. In the 90s and early 00s, the Wonderbread Guy would have had his own webpage where he just assumes everybody is into Wonderbread in the exact same lev...

Moving my blogging/ranting stuff to Blogger

Alright, so I was posting my silly nonsense on Medium for a bit The issue with Medium is it got kind of hard to write for... as that whole subscription stuff had me worried that people wouldn't be able to see my posts without paying for a website that largely isn't worth the subscription The vast majority of what is available on Medium is scams, selling shovels during gold rush, bad psychology (like stuff that makes TikTok Therapy Talk seem an improvement), people justifying MLMs, corporate bootlicking... and well... the sort of stuff you can see on LinkedIn for free. The sort of stuff you can see on LinkedIn that lets you know not to bother using LinkedIn Now, I then moved to trying out SubStack. You know, like most people did, when it became obvious that there was no justification to paying for a subscription to Medium--and that would make it so your posts were invisible to everybody except those with more cents than sense The issue is... SubStack doesn't really have muc...
